Season Ends for Boys Golf at Districts

Based on averages coming in to districts, it was going to take a huge effort on the part of the NP boys golf team. While the effort was there, the results didn't add up as the Huskies finished in 7th place with a 385 team total. Only the top two teams from district advance to state. Grundy Center took top honors with a 334 team total. Bishop Garrigan took the 2nd spot with a 347 total.

Individually the NP team was led by the lone senior playing on the team in district, Drew Moine. Playing in what was his final high school meet of his career, Moine put together nine hole scores of 44 on the first nine and 47 on the second nine for a 91 total. That put him in a tie for 19th place overall. Lucas Pierce shot a 97, Max Hillegas a 98 and Trey Nelson a 99 to give the Huskies their 385 team total. Derik Auchstetter carded a 101 and Shane Hilesheim a 104 to round out the scoring.
