Senior Abby Poppe carded a 52 enroute to finish in the runner-up medalist spot in the golf meet held at Ridge Stone Golf Club in Sheffield on Friday, April 5th. Poppe finished one stroke behind Central Springs' Maddie Daily.

NP's Keagan Betsinger posted a 53 to give the NP duo a 2nd-3rd finish. Alexa Cline carded a 78. NP only had three golfers compete so they were not able to post a team score.

The 2019 NP Husky girls golf season got underway as they traveled to Charles City and Cedar Bend Golf Club to take on the Comets and Osage.

The NP girls took 2nd place in the meet with a 261 team total behind the team leading score of 61 turned in by senior Keagan Betsinger. Abby Poppe and Sammi Tolnai contributed 66's. Maddy Rodruck rounded out the team total with a 68. Alexa Cline shot a 77 in her first meet ever.

The 2018 golf season came to a close for the NP Girls at the Regional Final they hosted at the Nashua Town and Country Club. Shooting a team total of 405, they found themselves 15 strokes out of the 2nd place spot needed to advance to next week's state tournament to be held in Marshalltown. Bishop Garrigan outdistanced the field with a 387 to take the top spot. BCLUW earned the 2nd state qualifier spot with their 390 team total. Grundy Center ended up 3rd with a 398 total.

The NP Girls Golf team, by virtue of their second place finish at the Class 1A Regional 1st Round, advance to the Regional Final. The tournament will be held Monday, May 21st at Nashua Town and Country Club.

Led by Junior Keagan Betsinger's 104, the Huskies werr 29 strokes back of the top team South Winneshiek. They carded a 407 and were led by meet medalist Jaden Schweinefus with an 81. Helping the Huskies cause was senior Miranda Crabtree with a 107, good for a tie for eighth place overall. Nicole Harrington chipped in a 110 and Megan Cerwinske rounded out the team total with a 115. Abby Poppe carded a 117 and Sammi Tolnai posted a 124.

The Nashua-Plainfield girls golf team finished 3rd in the Top of Iowa Conference East Division tournament held Monday, May 7 at Acorn Park in St. Ansgar. The Huskies totaled 437. Newman Catholic won the meet with a 412. Osage was second with 428.

Individually, NP's Megan Cerwinske and Miranda Crabtree carded 106's to finish tied for 8th place earning themselves a spot as 1st Team All-Conference.

There will be a signup meeting for the upcoming 2018 Spring golf season on Thursday, February 22nd. This meeting will be held in the HS Commons during homeroom. If you plan on playing golf this spring, please attend this meeting.

The first golf practice will be held Monday, March 12.

It is hard to believe that the start of the spring golf season is a month away!

Get it on your calendars, the first golf practice will be Monday, March 12th. We are in the process of trying to work out a date to have the initial golf signup meeting. Stay tuned for more details.

The golf meeting that was postponed from last Friday will be held Tuesday, February 28th during homeroom. It will be held in the upper library. If you plan on participating in golf this spring, you should plan on attending this meeting.
