Junior Shane Hillesheim turned in his career low round in leading the NP boys golf team to victory Tuesday, April 16 in a meet held at Buffalo Run Golf Course in Nora Springs. The team returned back to the top after Monday's second place finish as they carded their season low team total of 179. With four of the top five scores in the meet, the Huskies outdistanced runner-up Rockford who came in with a team score of 197. St. Ansgar had only one golfer so no team score could be recorded for them.

For the third time in as many meets, the NP Boys Golf Team continued their strong play and took top team honors. Playing at CARD Golf and Country Club on Tuesday, April 9, the Huskies posted a 195 team total to gather the victory. The individual scoring was led by senior Drew Moine who put together a round of 45. The Huskies had three of the top 4 scores in the meet with Derik Auchstetter and Shane Hillesheim each contributing 48's. Freshmen Trey Nelson and Max Hillegas posted 54's to round out the team total for NP. Drew Rodruck shot a 59.

The NP Boys Golf Team took top honors in their second meet in a row with their victory on Monday. Playing at the Nashua Town and Country Club in their first home meet of the season, the Huskies put together a 199 team total. Their total actually tied the 199 team score of Rockford but based on the tiebreaker system utilized by the IHSAA of using the 5th players score, the Huskies came out on top. Northwood-Kensett shot a 202 in the close battle.

The NP boys golf team came away with the top spot when they traveled to Sheffield and Ridge Stone Golf Club for their golf meet on Friday, April 5th. Led by Junior Shane Hillesheim's runner-up medalist score of 42, the Huskies posted a 193 team score to take top honors. Hillesheim was followed closely by teammates Derik Auchstetter with a 45 and Drew Moine's 46. Freshman Drew Rodruckk rounded out the team score with a 59. Blake Lindeland posted a 60 and Trey Nelson a 64.

The 2019 golf season for the NP boys golf team got underway Monday, April 1st in Charles City as the Huskies took on Charles City and Osage in a triangular meet held at Cedar Bend Golf Club.

The NP boys came in 3rd by a stroke with a 205 team total. The Huskies were led by sophomore Derik Auchstetter with a 48. Junior Shane Hillesheim was a stroke back with a 49. Charles City won the meet with a team total of 185. Osage edged out NP for 2nd place with a 204 total.

The NP boys golf team's season came to a close at the District Tournament held Friday, May 18, 2018 at Nashua Town and Country Club. With a tie for 4th place finish the team battled to a 354 team total. Based on season averages coming into the meet, the Huskies were slated to finish in 8th or 9th place.

The Huskies were led by a trio of seniors playing in their last meet. Senior Jayden Jost led the way with an 86. Dillon Auchstetter and Calem Liddle each chipped in 88's. Rounding out the team scoring was Shane Hillesheim and Derik Auchstetter who each carded 92's. Drew Moine shot a 98.

The Nashua-Plainfield boys golf team punched their ticket to the next round by finishing 2nd in their sectional tournament they hosted. The tournament was moved up a day due to the impending weather forecast which would have made play difficult on Friday. Don Bosco was the team champion with a 335 total. The NP team totaled 363 for 2nd.

Leading the Huskies was senior Jayden Jost. He carded rounds of 45 and 44 for an 89 total, good enough for 7th place overall. Consistent play out of all 6 players was the theme of the day as they all shot within 6 strokes of each other. Jost was followed by Drew Moine's 90, Calem Liddle's 91 and Shane Hillesheim's 93 to give them their team total. Rounding out the scoring was Dillon Auchstetter and Derik Auchstetter with 95 and 96 respectively.

Senior Dillon Auchstetter carded an 86 on his way to finishing in a tie for 7th position at the Top of Iowa Boys Conference Golf Tournament on Monday, May 7th at Ridge Stone Golf Club in Sheffield. His finish earned him 1st Team All-Conference honors.

As a team, the Huskies finished in 7th position in the 9 team field. Other scores for NP were junior Drew Moine's 92, freshman Derik Auchstetter's 101 and sophomore Shane Hillesheim's 102. Rounding out the scoring was a 105 and 113 turned in by seniors Calem Liddle and Jayden Jost respectively.
